Cork Sports Partnership (CSP) and Weightlifting Ireland (WI) are delighted to launch two new Beginners Programmes with Cork Weightlifting Club and Howling Heart Fitness Clonakilty this June!

During these introductory programmes participants will learn the correct technique for weightlifting, improve mobility, increase strength, improve balance, improve coordination, increase speed, build core strength and most importantly learn how to train safely and effectively with a barbell.

We’d like to thank our affiliated WI clubs – Cork Weightlifting Club and Howling Heart Weightlifting Cub for joining forces with Cork Sport Partnership to make this programme available and a great success.


New 6 Week Women’s Beginners Programmes in:

Venue 1:

  • Location: Howling Heart Fitness Clonakilty
  • Starts: Tues, 13th June (for 6 weeks)
  • Time: 7:30pm – 8:30pm

Venue 2:

  • Location: Cork Weightlifting Club
  • Starts: Thurs, 15th June (for 6 weeks)
  • Time: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
