Weightlifting Ireland are seeking expressions of interest from its membership to form two Volunteer Sub-Committees within the Association. 

  1. Finance & Audit (FAC) Sub-Committee
    • The Committee has been delegated the authority to examine all aspects of the work of the Company as regards to its policies and procedures concerning Finance and Audit and to make reports and recommendations to the Board to ensure that the Company operate in line with its Constitution and by-laws, with legislative and regulatory requirements, its agreements with funders, its annual budget and work programme and best practice.
    • The committee will be composed of at least one director (Treasurer), maximum two Directors of the Company, with board discretion to co-opt up to four additional non-director members with relevant skills and experience.
  2. Governance, Risk & Ethics (GRE) Sub-Committee
    • The Committee has been delegated the authority to examine all aspects of the work of the Company as regards its policies and procedures concerning Governance, Risk and Ethics and to make reports and recommendations to the Board to ensure that the Company operate in line with its Constitution and by-laws, with legislative and regulatory requirements, its agreements with funders, its annual budget and work programme and best practice.
    • The committee will be composed of at least one director (Governance Director), maximum two Directors of the Company, with board discretion to co-opt up to four additional non-director members with relevant skills and experience.
