Weightlifting Ireland athletes and coaches attended the EWF Youth training camp organised in Ventspils, a port town in the west of Latvia. 40 participants from 9 European countries (AZE, DEN, IRL, LAT, LTU, NED, FIN, CZE and POL) attended the annual meeting coordinated by the Coaching, Research, and Scientific Committee of the European Weightlifting Federation.

The young and talented weightlifters from the EWF family, who are these days in Ventspils, benefited from an intense program based on two diversified training sessions per day and the expertise of three lecturers and trainers: Eduards Andruskevics, Damjan Canzek, and Viktors Scerbatihs, all these developed under the coordination of EWF CRSC Chairman, Colin Buckley.
