The Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership provides the ideal starting point for participants aged between 13 and 17 years old who wish to develop their leadership skills in Sport and Physical Activity.

The award programme is designed to develop generic leadership skills that can be adapted to a variety of sport and physical activity settings as well as contributing to the personal development of the leader.

The programme covers the following topics;

• Understanding Leadership
• Communication & Teamwork
• Understanding Motivation & Goal Setting
• Coaching Principles
• Planning a Coaching Session
• Practical Activity Sessions
